Denser Code Better Performance

HI-TECH C® PRO for the Silicon Labs 8051 MCU Family reduces interrupt latency, code size and SRAM usage by dynamically optimizing context size and register coverage across all modules of a C-language program. The result is both better code density and fewer instructions cycles required to execute the program. Fewer instruction cycles means the CPU can spend more time in sleep mode, further reducing the already low power consumption of Silicon Labs’ devices.

HI-TECH C PRO for the Silicon Labs 8051 MCU Family with OCG:

HI-TECH announces support for Microchip's new Enhanced PIC12/16 MCUs

HI-TECH Software will be releasing a new version of the HI-TECH C PRO for the PIC10/12/16 MCU Family with support for Microchip's recently announced enhancement to their mid-range PIC12/16 MCUs.

The enhanced core's memory-mapped W register, simplified bank selection and multiple file-select registers provide many opportunities for optimizing this compiler.

HI-TECH Software is very pleased to announce a new version release of the PICC-18™ PRO ANSI C Compiler, with Omniscient Code Generation.

Features of this new version release :

• Name Change: The PICC-18 PRO will now be known as the HI-TECH C® PRO for the PIC18 MCU Family.
• Compile in Lite mode: The HI-TECH C PRO for the PIC18 MCU Family includes a Lite mode (freeware) option. Lite mode has NO memory or time restrictions and supports all devices, however the Omniscient Code Generation optimizations are not available.
• Procedural Abstraction: New to this release is this form of assembly optimization which gives even better code size reduction. (Note: This feature is not included in Lite mode.)
• Microchip Compatible Peripheral Library: A peripheral library which is compatible with the MPLAB C18 library is included in this release.
• Universal Toolsuite:Includes the latest version of the Universal Toolsuite.
